SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The attached report provides a summarized picture of current projects. Some points of note include:
• Report only lists projects with significant measurable work within 2019
• Projects/maintenance items less than $20,000 were generally not included
• Significant project impacts to schedule resultant from backlog at State Fire Marshal office
• Significant project impacts to schedule resultant from earthquake demands on design firms
• Average COV project change order rate 2-4% including some significant outliers
o 0-10% acceptable/expected
o 11-20% acceptable based on significant discovery or scope change
o 21%+ significant change, requires investigation/lessons learned
• Capital Facilities Department fully staffed as of July 2019 with Meridian acting as consultant CM on both field and design projects.
