SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The task force will identify and compile an initial list of buildings/ facilities in the community that could later serve as a child care facility.
Task force members are asked to identify any buildings at the disposal of their organization that they would be comfortable using or leasing long term to provide child care. Task force members are also asked to bring ideas for privately owned buildings or other physical spaces.
City staff has looked at the following sites as potential facilities previously:
• The former site of the Whitney Museum at the airport
• The Recreation Center
• The armory
• The green building behind the man camp
Additional buildings may have been looked at in 2017- but no formal assessment has taken place to date.
