RECOMMENDATION:
Approve resolution #23-23 - Amending the 2023 City Budget by transferring $600,000 in previously approved appropriations from various Major Maintenance Projects to the Flood Mitigation and Maintenance Reserve Glacier Stream Landfill Protection Project
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Glacier Stream Landfill Protection Project is located within the Flood Mitigation and Maintenance Reserve
Bids received exceeded initial budget for the project by $600,000 or 18%
Certain Major Maintenance projects have excess funds available for re-purposing based on scope changes, completed work, or are currently on hold for re-evaluation.
Projects with funds available to re-purpose:
• PORT VCT Transfer Repair, 350-0310-55000.2021 $100,000.00
• BUIL SENSI Siding, 350-0310-55000.2108 $250,000.00
• PORT CONT Scale Replacement, 350-0310-55000.2207 $250,000.00
Project needing additional funds:
• FLOOD GLAC Landfill Protection, 350-0750-55000.406 $600,000.00
The total projected expenses for the Glacier Stream Landfill Protection Project increase from $3,250,000 to $3,850,000
