Parks Maintenance oversees a yearly contract for the maintenance of turf and landscape (attachment 1).
• Maintenance of Turf, Landscape and Pond Water
The previous contract expired September 30, 2021 after a 5-year service period.
The 2022 contract term shall be three (3) years with the option of two (2) one-year renewal options. This contract if approved will expire September 30, 2024.
Group 1- Spring Clean-up, Watering, Mowing & Trimming
Group 3- Spring Clean-up
Will be performed by XDLX if contract is approved.
Group 2- Herbicide/Aquacide Application
Parks Maintenance will put back out to bid the Herbicide/Aquacide Application activities as there were no bids for those activities.
Group 3- Monthly Mowing and Trimming
Parks Maintenance will perform the Monthly Mowing and Trimming due to the high cost of bid received.
A following resolution on this Council agenda will address budget shortfall between bid amount and 2022 approved budget for Maintenance of Turf, Landscape and Pond Water contract. Anticipated contract amount was submitted to City Manager review in September 2021, and due to inflationary factors staff feels the bid amount is appropriate for the scope of work in the contract.
