SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Based on City Council consensus during a work session on October 20, 2021, attached is a change order to allow Huddle AK to provide 35 percent drawings, cost estimate, and a Preliminary Engineering Report. This additional work is for the Meals Hill park entry project and is needed to apply for the American Rescue Plan Economic Development (ARPA ED) grant. The deadline to apply to this grant is January 20, 2022. The current design for the project does not provide the City of Valdez with adequate information to be competitive for the ARPA ED grant process.
• The remaining funding for the Meals Hill Master Plan contract due to reduced travel needed in 2020 and 2021 is $10,836.75.
• EVOS funding requested and approved by Great Land Trust is $29,086.75.
• Total cost to complete the work above is $39,923.50.
• No City of Valdez funds are being used for this change order.
