SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Copper Valley Electric Association requested a work session with Valdez City Council as a way to continue strengthening the relationship between the Cooperative and the Council, to ensure the Council and City Administration have up to date information on timely topics, issues, and challenges the Cooperative and industry are facing, to talk about future plans and opportunities for both organizations to support each other, and to provide a forum for Council to ask questions they have of the Cooperative leadership team.

Both CVEA and past Councils have expressed that annual work sessions were very helpful and provided an opportunity for both organizations to touch base. It has been several years since the last meeting, and with many new Council members, the Co-op believes a work session at this time will be beneficial. CVEA appreciates City Council taking the time to meet with our team and we look forward to the discussion.

CVEA Attendees:

Travis Million, CEO

Jaime Matthews, CFO

Wayne McKinzey, Director of Power Supply

Sharon Scheidt, Director of Communications
