SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Due to public interest presented to the Recreation Commission on February 9th 2021, the Recreation Commission directed PRCS Director to bring back the topic of the Luke Horning Memorial Skate Park upgrade.
The direction needed by PRCS Director is whether to create a project for inclusion on the 2022 City of Valdez CIP list.
Recreation Commission has the following options:
• New park project
• Updated park or elements
• No changes
If a new project is placed on the CIP list, Capital Facilities will rank the project compared to all other City of Valdez projects. City Council will approve the design and construction of said project while also determining the funding level and future start date.
Please note that different funding options may become available, but project will still need to be approved by City Council.
