SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The following details my activities for the past two weeks:

I attended multiple meetings with Prince William Sound Economic Development District on their CEDS process (Comprehensive Plan equivalent). The survey will be available on City Facebook or web site so citizens can give input. Major topics that are  themes within the PWSEDD CED’s process are housing, ferry service, tourism and regional continuity.

Review RFPs for Access Study for Rydor property.

Meet with Fire Chief, Finance Director, and Assistant City Manager on RFP for Fire Department service study.

Attend Providence Valdez hospital advisory board meeting reviewing RFP for Hospital master plan update.

Investigated impacts of potential exploration of State of Alaska’s emergency order.

Continue role as Unified Command Incident Commander, which involves attending weekly operations meetings, a smaller group meeting with operations section chief and deputy, deputy incident commander, and emergency manager. Also, meeting weekly for a brief period with Physician consultant.

Plans for next two weeks include:

Finalizing selection of federal lobbyist.

Continue discussing phases of conclusion of COVID emergency.

Tracking Mayor’s COVID 19 Economic Recovery Task Force recommendation initiatives.

Attend CPAC meeting on Comprehensive Plan progress.
