SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Valdez Elementary & High School Water Piping Replacement project was out to bid for fifty days and three (3) bids were submitted. Wolverine Supply, Inc., of Wasilla submitted the low bid of $1,169,000. The project consists replacing the domestic cold water, hot water and hot water recirculation piping in the elementary and high school buildings. Piping will be replaced to the existing fixtures where access to piping is available. Where access to piping is not possible, piping will be connected to existing branch piping with isolation valves or routed to the fixture.

The need for replacement is due to the original galvanized steel water piping rusting internally causing very bad water quality and suffering from numerous leaks over the years. Construction is scheduled to begin on May 22nd and to be substantially complete by August 1, 2021.
Wolverine Supply and their subcontractor Valley Mechanical have years of experience working within both of the schools and are very familiar with the facilities, staff and unique circumstances of completing a large project during ...
