RECOMMENDATION:
Provide consensus direction to management for final 2021 budget
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
• This workshop presents Community Service Organization (CSO) requests totaling $2.7MM. Staff presents requests as received by applicants.
• CSO participants will be attending via GoToMeeting platform. The City Clerk will provide link to council members normally attending via teleconference line.
• Attachments include historic funding of CSOs, and 2021 requests with brief notes (separate documents)
• Attachments also include complete applications from applicants
• To facilitate the workshop objectives and to accommodate applicants, staff will present no other topics during workshop 4.
• Staff again suggests a “consent agenda” meeting format:
o Council members specify which requests they wish to discuss
o Those not selected are assumed to be approved as requested, and those applicants may leave the meeting
o Those selected are then questioned by council until consensus is established
