SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Representatives from Corvus Design will do a virtual presentation for the commission to introduce their team working on ‘Plan Valdez’ - our updated comprehensive plan.
Corvus will highlight team members, the role of the Planning & Zoning Commission in the process, and give an introduction to the work that has been completed to this point.
This presentation, along with a Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee meeting the following week, will serve as a kick-off for our upcoming Discovery Month in October. Discovery Month is our second round of public input during the comprehensive plan process and will include various focus group meetings. The Corvus team will present and gather input during meetings with various boards/commissions, City staff, community organizations, and other stakeholders in Valdez.
The Corvus team will come back to the Planning & Zoning Commission for a work session and deeper dive into plan themes and land use mapping during Discovery month.
