RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Resolution # 20-49 continuing COVID-19 Local Government Disaster Declaration.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
AS 26.23.140 allows for the continuation of a local disaster declaration for a period of more than seven (7) days by the consensus of the local governing authority.
Because of the ongoing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic emergency, the declaration dated March 17, 2020 shall remain in effect until October 7, 2020 or until COVID-19 is no longer declared a federal or state emergency, whichever occurs first.
