SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Task Force is considering a survey instrument for measuring the impacts of COVID-19 in Valdez. Meilani Schijvens of Rain Coast Data is working with City of Valdez on the current comprehensive plan update. Ms. Schijvens has outlined a methodology for surveying businesses and measuring economic impacts of COVID-19. The Mayor’s COVID-19 Economic Recovery Task Force could work with Rain Coast Data to develop a survey. A small group from the Task Force could work with Ms. Schijvens to develop a survey/tool for measuring the economic impacts of COVID-19 to Valdez.
The result of the survey/measurements could help develop a recommendations for the City to create a plan for recovery going forward.
