RECOMMENDATION:
Approve resolution appointing judges and clerks for the special municipal election to be held September 10, 2019 and setting the hourly rate of compensation
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Valdez Municipal Code requires the City Council to appoint judges and clerks for municipal elections and set their hourly rate of compensation. The City Clerk’s office is recommending an increase in the hourly rate of pay for the three Precinct Chairs from $14.00 per hour to $15.00 per hour due to the required responsibilities and tasks associated with their role in the election process.
