RECOMMENDATION:
Approve recommendation to award contract to Green Play, Inc. for the Parks & Recreation Master & Strategic Plan in the amount of $97,000
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At the request of the Parks & Recreation Commission, Director of PRCS attempted to solicit three bids for the development of a Master & Strategic Plan for the Parks and Recreation divisions.
Two bids were received from Green Play Inc. and Pros Consulting prior to the deadline. The two bids received are attached to this agenda.
A third bid is anticipated, however is anticipated to be received after the deadline.
These bids include a comprehensive Master & Strategic Plan, steering committee, partnership with a potential Meals Hill Master trail plan and other important components.
The recommendation of the Director is to award the bid to Green Play Inc. Green Play Inc. has completed over 520 Master Plans for communities across the United States. It is the opinion of the Director that their proposal better fits the needs of the PRCS department and the City of Valdez.
