SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The original plan of the dog park had an expansion component. The expansion area will allow for maintenance of the original dog park while having another area open for use. Parks Maintenance can better maintain the different dog park areas.
The expansion of a second dog park area will also allow users to have an option of two areas.
The Planning Department has been consulted and the zoning of the proposed expanded area is appropriate for the planned expansion.
Director and Parks Maintenance Supervisor recommend the expansion of the dog park to the indicated area on attached map.
