SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Project Description: The attached contract with Cornerstone General Contractors, Inc. is the culmination of coordination and design assistance provided by the contractor for a suite of projects at the Providence Medical Center. This project will address the frequent and ongoing leaks in the copper piping throughout the Hospital and Clinic. This will include replacing all 2" diameter and smaller piping with corrosion resistant plastic piping and address any damage resulting from the leaking water. The replacement scope is phased within the project to address the entire facility. Additionally, other deficiencies of similar nature will be addressed by the contractor relating to a code compliant infection control room and a fire wall separation at long term care. These projects require similar tradespeople and will impact overlapping areas and early on we decided to incorporate them into the scope to reduce downtime and impact to the Hospital. The individual savings on the projects is notable and in line with original reasoning and justification for combining projects.
