SUMMARY STATEMENT:
City Council must annually elect the mayor pro tempore.
Mayor O’Neil will first accept nominations for candidates from the council. Candidates must accept the nomination.
If more than one nomination is heard, the clerk will provide paper ballots to determine the final candidate.
At that point or if only one nomination is heard, a motion/second will be made to elect the candidate to serve as mayor pro tempore. A roll call vote will be taken.
