RECOMMENDATION:
Approve donation of a 1995 Emergency One Municipal/Industrial Pumper.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The pumper was replaced in 2018 with new apparatus as per scheduled replacement.
City of Valdez has historically donated old fire apparatus to communities throughout Alaska which cannot afford to purchase new equipment on their own. Keeping with this tradition the Fire Department recommends the donation of this equipment to Cordova Fire Department.
Cordova Fire Department has agreed to pick up equipment in Valdez and will cover all transportation cost associated with the donation.
