RECOMMENDATION:
Accept resignation
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Ms. Lee Hart tendered her resignation from the Economic Diversification Commission (EDC) by email on January 7, 2019. The resignation letter was then forwarded to the City Clerk’s Office for processing and is now being forwarded to City Council for formal acceptance.
The City Clerk’s Office also began advertising the vacancy. Since the appointee will be filing a vacancy, they will serve a partial term expiring September 2020.
Citizens interested in serving on the EDC may submit applications through the City boards & commissions online portal: www.valdezak.gov/boardsandcommissions <http://www.valdezak.gov/boardsandcommissions>. Paper applications are also available at City Hall.
Note: Ms. Hart also tendered her resignation from the City Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC). The City Clerk’s Office notified the Kimley-Horn team about her resignation. There is no plan at this time to advertise for additional applicants for the CPAC.
