SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Ports & Harbors Department requires the engineering services provided by PND Engineers to conduct a Load Capacity Analysis for the John Thomas Kelsey Municipal Dock and the Valdez Container Terminal.
Recent Inspections of both facilities have shown significant ageing in critical marine structures. Conducting a Load Capacity Analysis will establish a safe operating threshold for our customers and ensure we are not overloading the structures past safe operating levels.
The Port has traditionally been known for handling heavy lift cargo and continues to receive customer inquiries for this updated information.
