RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of Contract, PND Engineering.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of Valdez requires the engineering services of PND engineering to assist the Ports & Harbors Department with the development of a Comprehensive Waterfront Master Plan.
As the City of Valdez looks to invest, operate, and develop the waterfront, there is a significant need for a strategic guide and action plan. This will ensure waterfront development is organized, well planned and in-line with the Cities overall quality of life and economic goals.
PND Engineering was selected through the standard request for qualification process and was among 4 total firms who expressed interest in the project. The PND Engineering team has extensive experience in the City of Valdez Waterfront facilities, and a history of similar projects throughout Alaska. (Highlighted in the RFQ Proposal attached to this agenda item).
The scope, schedule, cost estimates and approach are attached. PND Engineering has a 10 month schedule for the execution and completion of this project.
