SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Preliminary site plan and design concepts by Wolf Architecture, Inc. to be presented to Council.  Attached includes preliminary site plan and notes on concept development. Conceptual plan to be presented in person by the design team.

Background

Wolf took input from the Open House and the subsequent stakeholder meetings in December and presented four concept alternatives. The Chief and advisory group reviewed the preliminary concepts and the resultant concept presented represents the requested revisions.

Current concept represents a “right sizing” effort from the initial 25,000 SF program.

City Staff consulted with local DOT regarding snow storage and snow removal along Hazelet to ensure limited interruptions to their operations and compromise on a snow storage location to the north on Block 5.

Current concept is intended to maximize site footprint, limit disruption to current site uses and prevent future roadblocks in the utilization of Block 5 to the north.

Next Steps - Design

Wolf will continue to work with Staff to develop the Schematic Design, perform more soil sampling to ensure adequate foundation designs, work with Planning & Zoning on the re-plat and conditional use permit, and assist with website content and public information distribution.
