SUMMARY STATEMENT:

CAPRA Accreditation

The Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) sets the standards of excellence for park and recreation agencies across the nation. Sponsored by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and available to any entity which administers such services, including counties, schools, military installations and more, the accreditation offers a great benefit on both sides of the equation.

Through the three-phase process, park and recreation agencies are offered the opportunity to evaluate their programs, identify areas for growth and become compliant with CAPRA’s 150-plus standards. In turn, the communities they serve gain peace of mind about the quality of the programs their families rely upon.
