RECOMMENDATION:
Approval the Contract with X-DLX Investments, Inc. in the Amount of $134,100.00 for 2019 Janitorial Services.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The janitorial contract renewal received bids from two contractors. Both contractors currently hold contracts with the City. XDLX was awarded the contract for the following locations: Animal Shelter, Harbormaster Building and Facilities, B-float Comfort Station and New Harbor Comfort Station, The New Harbor Warehouse and Facilities, Library, Recreation Center, Airport Terminal, Capital Facilities, Finance and Port Offices at the Airport, Seasonal Comfort Stations (6), Seasonal Outhouses (5), and the Goldfield Restrooms. The total cost of the 2019 Janitorial Services contract with X-DLX Investments, Inc. is $134,100.00. This represents a status quo work split from previous years, with the addition of the New Harbor Facilities. Splitting the duties amongst the two contractors resulted in a net savings to the City of $20,500.
