RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Contract with Gulf Coast, Inc. in the Amount of $125,400.00 for 2019 Janitorial Services.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The janitorial contract renewal received bids from two contractors. Both contractors currently hold contracts with the City. Gulf Coast was awarded the following locations: City Hall Building, Police Department, Council Chambers, Vehicle Maintenance Facility, Building Maintenance Facility, Baler Break Room, and the Mary Kevin Gilson Medical Clinic. The total cost of the 2019 contract with Gulf Coast, Inc. is $125,400.00. This represents a status quo work split from previous years.
Splitting the duties amongst the two contractors resulted in a net savings to the City of $20,500.
