RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Contract with Curtis Electric, LLC for the VCT & SBH LED Lighting Upgrades Project in the Amount of $399,750.00.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The project scope will replace the existing fixtures with LED on 20ea high mast light poles (11 VCT, 9 SBH). The VCT/SBH Led Lighting project was combined from two separate cost codes to reduce the overall project expense to the City of Valdez. The project scope will replace the existing fixtures with LED on 20ea high mast light poles (11 VCT, 9 SBH).
It was put out to bid and the city received a total of five (5) responsive bids. The project schedule was also extended via addendum to accommodate winter/spring work with the intent to reduce overall project cost by minimizing additional snow removal.
