RECOMMENDATION:

Accept resignation from Valdez Museum & Historical Archive Association Board of Directors (Lydia Lardy)

 

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Ms. Lydia Lardy tendered her resignation from the VHMA Board of Directors by email on October 22, 2018. The resignation letter was then forwarded to the City Clerk’s Office for processing and is now being provided to City Council for formal acceptance.

The City Clerk’s Office also began advertising the vacancy. Since the appointee will be filling a vacancy, they will serve a one-year, two-month term, expiring in January 2020.

Citizens interested in serving on the VMHA Board of Directors may submit applications online through the City boards & commissions portal: <http://www.ci.valdez.ak.us/boardsandcommissions>. Paper applications are also available at City Hall. Deadline to apply is November 14th @ 5:00 p.m.
