SUMMARY STATEMENT:
VFDA would like to request an updated resolution of support for Alaska’s Salmon Hatchery Programs to submit as public comment by October 3rd for the upcoming Board of Fisheries. Similar resolutions have been recently approved by the City of Cordova and the City of Ketchikan and others are scheduled for action. VFDA will address the council to discuss the need for this new resolution and action to be taken at the board meeting which could affect Valdez and Alaska’s hatchery programs.
