RECOMMENDATION:

Accept resignation

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Ms. Georgie Ann Christoffersen tendered her resignation from the VHMA board of directors in writing on September 4, 2018. This resignation letter was then forwarded to the City Clerk’s Office for processing and is now being provided to City Council for formal acceptance.

The City Clerk’s Office also began advertising the vacancy on September 14^th. Since the appointee will be filling a vacancy, they will serve a one-year, three-month term, expiring in January 2020.

Citizens interested in serving on the VMHA board of directors may submit applications online through the City boards & commissions portal: www.ci.valdez.ak.us/boardsandcommissions <http://www.ci.valdez.ak.us/boardsandcommissions>. Paper applications are also available at City Hall. Deadline to apply is October 10^th @ 5:00 p.m.
