RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Contract with Rain Proof Roofing for Seven Building Roof Replacements in the Amount of $1,705,000.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This project was out to bid for twenty-one days and one (1) bidder submitted a bid, which was Rain Proof Roofing.
This project will entail replacing the roofs on the follow facilities: Rec Center (formally the Teen Center), Harbormaster office, City Hall/Police/Fire building, School District office & Sewage Treatment Plant pump building. Two additive alternates include replacing the roof on the Community Development wing of City Hall and constructing a new canopy over the south facing exit doors on the Senior Center. The Senior Center work will be paid out of a grant that is scheduled to expire at the end of the year.
Construction will begin in late May/early June and be substantially complete by August 17th.
