RECOMMENDATION:
Approve donation of camera to City and Borough of Yakutat.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Water department purchased a new camera October 2017. In the process of surplus, we evaluated the worth of the used camera. The camera has many problems, from no software support to no repair parts available; resulting in no value if we tried to sell it. We reached out to Alaska Rural Water Association, of whom we are a member, to see if any other community could benefit from our used sewer camera for parts or to use what life is left in it.
Alaska Rural Water Association connected us with the City and Borough of Yakutat. We are asking to donate this equipment to the City & Borough of Yakutat as is, they are aware of the cameras limitations. They would cover all expenses to get it to Yakutat.
