RECOMMENDATION:

Approve Resolution No. 18-17 authorizing waiving landfill fees during the 2018 clean up event.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Traditionally, the City of Valdez has waved the fees for up to ten (10) cubic yards of residential debris at the Demolition and Construction Debris Pit during the May Clean up event to encourage citizens to clean up the city and their residential property, and dispose of it properly.

 This time frame allows for the snow to melt, providing access to trash, and also will allow for those that work shift work to have the opportunity to participate.
