SUMMARY STATEMENT:

A November 21st work session with Council presented the ancillary work related to Kelsey Dock improvements. Preparing the Whitney side of the airport to receive museum collections was considered as part of that initiative. During the January 16th work session with Council regarding new Museum construction general consensus was given that regardless of the housing the Museum collection or not the HVAC system at the airport should be upgraded and made functional. This agreement with ECI will provide a design to accomplish this task. The project was budgeted within the 2018 budget and is being appropriately distributed to quantify improvements to the various city assets, in this case the Airport. The upgrade adds value to the existing infrastructure as either temporary museum storage or a viable rental space. Currently, the Whitney side does not meet current codes for air exchanges/hour to be able to rent out on a long term lease.
