SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Summary of Needs: The swimming pool is in need of major repairs. Provided is a short summary of the items that need immediate attention.
* Lap Pool and Wading Pool Liner Replacement
o Justification: Both liners are 5+ years past their expected life. Both are showing signs of cracking.
* Lap Pool and Wading Pool Gutter Replacement
o Justification: Gutters have pinhole leaks.
* Underfloor Piping Replacement
o Justification: Underfloor piping is difficult to access and difficult to maintain. Leaks have been noted in several pipes. Joints and valves to wading pool are broken and need replacement.
* Ceiling and Ducting Paint/Repair
o Justification: Ceiling and ductwork has peeling/flaking paint. The paint is causing chemical imbalance in the pool. Minor rusting on ductwork.
* Deck Resurfacing
o Justification: Deck is very slippery and has caused many patrons to slip and fall.
* Lighting upgrade
o Justification: Current lighting system in pool utilizes halogen bulbs. Some lighting in wading pool area has been obscured by pool cover. Insufficient emergency/backup lighting system is in place.
* Locker-room Remodel
o Justification: Locker-rooms are not ADA compliant. Lockers are rusty. Floor surface does not drain adequately. No partitions exist between shower stalls. Floor is slippery.

Contingencies: In November 2017 a design team was assembled to develop solutions for the liner, gutters, piping, ceiling, ducting, deck, and lighting repairs. At that time we anticipated being able to cover most of this design during the Summer 2018 construction season. As the design develope...
