RECOMMENDATION:
Approve contract no. 1330 with Wolverine Supply, Inc. for the STP Project and Well House 2 and 3 Backup Generator Project in the amount of $264,000.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Currently there are no backup generators in place at either location. During a prolonged power outage the SCADA system goes down, and staff is required to be called in to work at the STP. This above referenced generator will allow for continuation of services at the STP. Well houses 2 & 3 also do not have emergency power in place. The generator being requested will be sized to run either pump at Well House 2 or 3, but not both simultaneously. The goal is to reduce hard stopping and starting of the pumps and to reduce the amount of call-outs for Public Works staff during power outages.
