RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Contract to Kline Construction LLC for the City Hall and Senior Center Elevator Control Upgrades in the amount of $183,875.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Current mechanical equipment at the Senior Center and City Hall elevators is outdated and malfunctioning. The control units are past their expected service life, and spare parts are hard to come by. The construction project will include replacing the mechanical equipment and modernizing the elevator car cab interiors. The project will also address the code discrepancies we currently have in the mechanical equipment rooms.
Kline Construction with FT Elevator were the only responsive proposers for this solicitation. Their proposal was vetted and meets the requirements and is at a cost below the engineers estimate for the work.
