SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This report is a follow-up to Council’s inquiry during the 9/19 meeting.
Legal fees through July total $630,791, or approximately $90K per month.
The 2017 budget appropriation is $2MM.
Staff will consider these figures and the likely scope of legal work when setting the 2018 Law Department budget.
