RECOMMENDATION:
Approve donation of a 1995 Emergency One Municipal/Industrial Pumper and a 1995 Ford Wheeled Coach Ambulance to the Chenega Bay Fire Department
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The pumper and ambulance were replaced in 2017 with new apparatus as per scheduled replacement.
City of Valdez has historically donated old fire apparatus and ambulances to community throughout Alaska which cannot afford to purchase new equipment on their own. Keeping with this tradition the Fire Department recommends the donation of this equipment to Chenega Bay Fire Department.
Chenega Bay Fire Department has agreed to pick up equipment in Valdez and will cover all transportation cost associated with the donation.
