RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint one applicant to serve on the Alaska Gasline Port Authority (AGPA) for a three year, four month term, expiring November 31, 2020.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Valdez City Council appoints three representatives to sit on the AGPA board of directors. Board members must be registered voters within the State of Alaska, reside within the state, and serve at the pleasure of the City Council.
One vacancy exists on the AGPA Board of Directors (Valdez representative) due to resignation.
After two rounds of advertising the vacancy, the City Clerks Office received many inquiries, but only one application from:
1. Darren Reese
Mr. Reese requested his previously submitted application for AGPA be forwarded for consideration to City Council for this vacancy.
