SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Short term action plan for staff space, fire station replacement, snow storage, and general public agency storage needs.
Move the following departments to the airport:
* Community and Economic Development;
* Finance;
* Human Resources;
* Possibly Assistant City Manager
* Ports
Capital Facilities Department to determine office space needs, available office space at the airport, and method of creating temporary office space in a portion of the first floor space previously occupied by the museum.
After this is accomplished the Information Technology Department will move to the space previously occupied by Finance.
This will leave the old City Hall office space empty except that occupied by the Fire Department.
Depending on available space, work with the Museum to move the Old Town Exhibit and possibly other items from the current location to the first floor space in the airport building.

Accommodate snow storage needs, expedite fire station replacement, and consider comprehensive public agency storage needs:
* After appraisal is complete for 16 acres east of Chena Street extending to Richardson Highway determine if it is feasible to purchase the property. A portion of the property will meet our snow removal needs in the area. The city does not have permission to store snow on property in the vicinity.
* The full 16 acres will not be necessary for storage of snow.
* The Richardson Highway frontage will make an excellent site for the replacement fire station.
* The size of the property should also accommodate a central warehouse that can accommodate storage needs of the City, School System, Hospital, Museum, and possibly other public storage needs. Careful planning and allocation of space will b...
