RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the purchase of a 2016 GMC 3500HD Crew Cab Truck with utility bed and accessories from Alaska Sales and Service in the amount of $44,958.00
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This vehicle will be new to the fleet and will be shared by both Parks & Rec. and Building Maintenance. The Parks & Rec. Department will use the vehicle primarily during the summer months to support their maintenance activities. Building Maintenance will use the vehicle during the winter months for snow shoveling and maintenance operations. This vehicle will be given a 10 year life expectancy in the Major Equipment Schedule.
This vehicle will be purchased using Government Bid Assist and is in the 2016 City of Valdez Major Equipment budget under the Parks & Rec. Department.
