RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the purchase of a Renova Asphalt Recycler from Construction Machinery Industrial, LLC. in the amount of $110.700.00.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Purchase of this piece of equipment will allow the City Streets crew to produce high quality asphalt patch material in quantities that will allow for larger patches to be made as well as the ability to address more potholes in a single day. This piece of equipment will also enable the City to recycle the large piles of used asphalt that have been accumulating for years on Dump Road.
Training for the City Streets crew is included in the purchase price. Renova Industries will send a trainer to Valdez once the machine is on site to review machine operations, maintenance, and safety.
Shipping to Valdez is also included in the purchase price.
