RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Tier 1 Beautification Matching Grant to Mark’s Repair in the amount of $12,500.00
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At their April 2024 meeting the Beautification Commission voted to accept a second round of match grant applications through Friday, May 31, 2024.
The City Clerk’s Office received four additional applications for the 2024 Beautification Matching Grant Program before the May 31st deadline. Two were for rental properties in a residential zoning district and were disqualified in staff review.
The Beautification Commission reviewed the two remaining applications at their regular June meeting and declined to forward one of the applications to City Council citing various concerns about proposed project scope and expenditures on non-permanent improvements.
The remaining applicant (below) has been forwarded to Council for consideration:
