SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Postponed to the next Regular Meeting at the July 20, 2026 Beautification Commission Meeting.

The commission put together a working group early in 2026 to develop a Public Art Policy for the city. The policy was later approved by the commission and subsequently was approved by City Council in April.

The goal of this discussion is to ensure that all member of the commission are familiar with the policy and to identify what next steps may be for using the policy and encouraging investment in and maintenance of public art.

Also included as an attachment is the Naming and Monuments Policy developed by Parks and Recreation, discussion may also include how these policies might work together or where there are inconsistencies between them.
