RECOMMENDATION:

That the Ports & Harbors Commission accept the 2025 Operational Improvement Memo from the Ports & Harbors Director as submitted, acknowledging it as part of the Commission’s Goal 5 Focus on Seasonal Operations and Continuous Improvement.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

As part of Goal 5: Focus on Seasonal Operations and Continuous Improvement, the Ports & Harbors Department conducted outreach to harbor users, stakeholders, and the community during August and September 2025 to collect feedback on harbor, port, and airport operations. The purpose of this outreach was to identify operational strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement following the peak summer season.

Collected feedback was compiled into the Valdez Ports & Harbors Customer Feedback Tracker 2025 and summarized within the Operational Improvement Memo, which documents key themes, responses, and proposed actions.

This review and discussion fulfill the Q4 Commission Work Plan milestone to evaluate stakeholder input and make recommendations for operational improvements in the coming year.
