On June 20th, 2017 the Community Development office issued an abatement notice and order to Misty Phillips in regard to the real property located at 137 Gulkana Street, Valdez, Alaska. Document Attached.
In accordance with Valdez Municipal Code, Chapter 8.20.190, Misty Phillips filed an appeal to the Planning and Zoning Commission within the required time-frame with the city clerk. The appeal was filed on July 5th, 2017. Document Attached
In response to the appeal the building official has submitted a Statement of Findings. Document Attached.

VIII. ANNOUNCEMENT OF DECISION
(MOTION AND VOTE) The Planning and Zoning Commission acting as the Board of Appeals must base its decision on the findings of facts presented at the Appeal Hearing. The Planning and Zoning Commission must make a motion and vote to either uphold the notice and action of the Abatement Official, or accept the appeal by repealing the notice and actions of the Abatement Official.
Motion: To uphold the notice and action of the Abatement Official - Listing reasons for the decision and recommendations.
OR
Motion: To accept the appeal by repealing the notice and action of the Abatement Official - Listing reasons for the decision and recommendations.
