SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The purchase of a 2024 Ford F-150 was completed using State contract pricing for a total cost of $54,146.73. Initially budgeted at $45,000 for the 2023 fiscal year, the allocation was increased to $55,000 in 2024 to account for rising costs. The procurement was not conducted through a competitive bid or proposal, as State contract pricing was utilized, ensuring pre-negotiated cost advantages for the City. This vehicle replaces a 2009 Ford F-150, which was repurposed to the Harbor and retained as part of the fleet.

As required by Valdez Municipal Code 2.80.040, this report serves as formal notification to the city council of a budgeted procurement between $40,000 and $100,000 that does not require council approval.
