RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint one applicant to the City Parks & Recreation Commission to serve a full two-year term, expiring October 2023
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
During the November 2, 2021 Council meeting, Council appointed Sharry Miller to fill the current vacancy on the Parks & Recreation Commission. However, following the meeting, Ms. Miller informed the Clerk’s Office she had not intended to apply for the position. She requested her name be withdrawn and the appointment vacated.
Thus, one vacancy still exists on the City Parks & Recreation Commission.
The Clerk’s Office re-advertised the vacancy and received two applications:
• Pete Carter
• Sam Lares
The appointee will serve a full two-year term, expiring October 2023.
