RECOMMENDATION:
Receive and file.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
City Council must be notified of change orders when they exceed $15,000.00 or 25% of the total contract amount. Along with this change order report is a summary of all past change orders.
This change order #6 incorporates five items which relate to the Bilge Water Treatment building and systems.
1. Increase isolation pads and set them flush with the surrounding floor.
2. Provide control valves on the outlets of the surge tanks.
3. Provide a hose bibb, vacuum breaker, and sampling port/diverter valve at the Oil Trap skid
4. Comply with State Fire Marshal plan review comments.
4.1. Revise building classification from Class 1 Div 1 to Class 1 Div 2 which revises equipment from explosion-proof to spark-resistant.
4.2. Incorporate mechanical changes shown on sheet M5.1
4.3. Provide floor drain connections to sewer rather than sump.
4.4. Install 11-pound fire extinguishers where noted on sheet A14
4.5. Provide closed tanks for bilge water treatment package.
5. Perform additional snow removal.
